John Craddock Ltd Magazine (General News)

Bought a new car and found that you’ve not been given a spare wheel as standard? Research has suggested that around nine out of ten cars are now sold without full sized spare wheels in attempt to increase fuel efficiency by reducing the carrying weight. Instead, you are usually supplied with an emergency repair kit. Although these can sometimes can be effective, it can be tricky to apply and is only appropriate for small holes.
Be Prepared with 4×4 Tyres
When driving in off road situations the risk of puncturing your 4×4 tyres is raised due to the uneven areas you’ll be covering. If you get a puncture on a road in a populated area it can be inconvenient, but help is usually close by. Whereas needing a repair whilst off roading and stranded in the middle of nowhere can be a much more troublesome problem. So whilst many car manufacturers have decided that spare tyres are not a necessity, it’s essential that this mentality is not carried through to your off roading 4×4 tyres.
