Delivery to Norway
Here at John Craddock, we regularly ship to Norway as a part of our international delivery service. Thanks to this experience, shipping 10,000’s of orders to non-UK addresses each year, we’ve been able to put this guide of FAQs together to help you.
Using a mix of economy shipping and our network of trusted couriers, we work hard to provide our customers in Norway with the most efficient international delivery experience possible. Therefore, we make sure that each of our international orders are dispatched within 3-5 days of your order being confirmed. You can also rest assured knowing that your consignment complies with international shipping regulations.
Duties and Taxes
Who Pays The Duties and Taxes On My Parcel?
If your parcel has any duties or taxes associated with it, you will be expected to pay for these. You will either be charged for these at the checkout or through the shipping agent/customs. If there are any surcharges, a member of the customs team will be in touch to inform you.
What is the VAT rate for Norway?
As the UK has now left the EU, import duty and taxes now apply to goods imported from the UK into Norway. Currently, the VAT rate is 25%. However, this is subject to change and depending on the type of product imported, preferential rates may apply. Depending on the value of your products, import duties may also be charged.
What Happens if a Customer Refuses to Pay Customs or Duties on an Order?
We would advise against this as if you refuse your order, you will not be refunded your initial shipping amount and you will be charged an additional administration surcharge. If you have any questions regarding surcharges before making your order, please contact us. Our team will be able to give you a good understanding of what to expect so that there are no surprises when your consignment arrives.
Lead Times
How Long Will It Take For My Parcel to be Dispatched?
Our team will aim to dispatch any international orders within 3-5 working days.
What if this Affected Item Is Not in Stock?
If you have had a ‘special order’ where we have had to make an order from a third party supplier, this can add delays to the process. However, in most cases this shouldn’t make much of a difference to your 3-5 day dispatch target.
Why is Delivery Taking Longer Than Expected?
If you are experiencing any delays, please feel free to contact us. Our team of experienced and enthusiastic Land Rover experts are on hand to help provide you with up to date tracking information. Depending on the size of your parcel, it can take anywhere between 1 and 4 weeks to get your parcel to Norway.
Tracking and Parcel Safety
Are Customers Given a Tracking Code Upon Ordering?
Yes. We understand how important it is to keep our customers informed during every step of the journey. Therefore, you will receive a text or email with your tracking number shortly after you have checked out. This will also be included in an invoice, sent out to you upon the dispatch of your order.
How are Products Packaged?
Our parcels are packed with heavy duty cardboard packaging with cardboard void fill and cushioning. For any fragile or awkwardly shaped parcels, we can also provide bespoke wooden crate packaging.
Bulk and Oversized Orders
What Happens if Orders are Overweight/Oversized?
If the checkout flags your order as being oversized or overweight, a delivery surcharge may apply. If this is the case, you will be notified and a member of our team will reach out to you to make you aware of your options and explain the charges involved.
Returns
What is the Returns Process For International Orders?
You can find our full returns policy on our dedicated returns page. If returning a parcel from Norway, you will be able to receive a refund as long as your item arrives within 28 days of delivery, in the original packaging with a proof of purchase.
Who Pays For the Return Cost of an Item?
Initially, you will be expected to cover the cost of your return. However, if we identify that the fault lies with John Craddock Ltd, we will refund the cost of your postage as well as your product(s). If you are returning a parcel, make sure that you mark it as ‘returned goods’ and include any relevant paperwork and tracking numbers. By doing this, you should be able to avoid any tax or duty charges.
Are Any Items Non-Returnable from International Locations?
Yes. This applies to engines and gearboxes as once they are shipped internationally, they lose their warranty and can no longer be returned. ‘Special orders’ can also be non-returnable if it wouldn’t be possible for us to return the item(s) to the supplier.
Should Customers Insure Items Upon Returning Them?
Any orders will be returned at your own risk. Therefore, we always advise that you purchase insurance. Otherwise, if anything were to happen to your parcel in transit, you would be expected to cover the costs.
Coverage
Can You Ship to BFPO addresses?
