Delivery to France
Here at John Craddock, we ship 10,000’s of orders to non-UK addresses per year, with France making up a significant portion of these figures. Therefore, you can feel confident that you’ll receive the most efficient and affordable service when you shop Land Rover parts and accessories with us.
We currently offer a range of flexible shipping options to France using either economy shipping or one of our courier services. The delivery rate calculated at checkout depends on the size and weight of the parcel and the shipping method selected.
We take great pride in ensuring that all our orders are processed and dispatched within 24 hours of confirmation. For international orders, we also work hard to secure all packages and comply with all international shipping regulations for swift, stress-free delivery.
Duties and Taxes
Who Pays The Duties and Taxes On My Parcel?
All customers are responsible for the duties and taxes of their order. VAT and tariffs may apply to your order once it has been dispatched. All customers are responsible for duties and taxes on their order and will be charged at either the checkout or through the shipping agent/customs once it arrives in France. If any VAT or duties are to be paid, you will be contacted by the customs teams in France.
What is the VAT rate for France?
The current standard VAT rate for imports into mainland France is 20%. There is also an intermediate rate of 10% and a reduced rate of 5.5% which apply to certain products that are specifically targeted by the tax law.
What Happens if a Customer Refuses to Pay Customs or Duties on an Order?
If a customer chooses to cancel an order by refusing to pay the customs/duties, the initial shipping amount will not be refunded and an additional administration surcharge will apply.
Lead Times
How Long Will it Take For My Parcel to be Dispatched?
International orders aim to be dispatched within 3-5 working days.
What if this Affected Item Is Not in Stock?
If your item isn’t in stock such as a special order, there may be added delays due to the suppliers’ own lead times. However, this doesn’t usually affect the 3-5 day dispatch time that we aim for.
Why is Delivery Taking Longer Than Expected?
There are a number of factors that may contribute to longer delivery times. On average, international shipping to France can take anywhere between 2-4 weeks. At every stage of the item’s journey, we will keep you fully informed on the status of your order until it reaches you.
Tracking and Parcel Safety
Are Customers Given a Tracking Code Upon Ordering?
Yes. A tracking number will be emailed or sent by text from the courier. We will also email the customer a copy of the invoice once the order has been dispatched, with the tracking information also included.
How are Products Packaged?
Packaging varies depending on the size and weight of your item(s). In order to avoid any damage, we use heavy duty cardboard packaging with cardboard void fill and cushioning. For large and delicate items such as windscreens and doors, we will also use specifically made wooden crates.
Bulk and Oversized Orders
What Happens if Orders are Overweight/Oversized?
At checkout, we will automatically calculate the best shipping options for your chosen product(s). In some cases, a delivery surcharge may apply to certain products if they are overweight or oversized. If this is the case, a message will be displayed at the checkout and one of our representatives will contact you to discuss delivery options and surcharges.
Returns
What is the Returns Process For International Orders?
Our returns process for customers in France is designed to be quick, easy and straightforward. All items can be returned within 28 days of delivery by courier for a full refund, providing the item is in its original packaging and you have proof of purchase. For the full details of our returns policy, please see our Returns page.
Who Pays For the Return Cost of an Item?
Unless expressly the fault of John Craddock Ltd, you are expected to pay to return any goods that are cancelled or claimed under warranty. Once the product has been received and identified to be a fault of our company, we will refund the cost of delivery. To avoid tax and duty charges for your return, please clearly mark your parcel as ‘returned goods’ and be sure to include all relevant paperwork and tracking numbers to verify your parcel is a return.
Are Any Items Non-Returnable from International Locations?
Engines and gearboxes are non-returnable and do not carry a warranty if they are sold to international destinations. If a special order item cannot be returned to its supplier, it will also be non-returnable.
Should Customers Insure Items Upon Returning Them?
We recommend that you do, as any items being returned by customers are at their own risks and if damaged or lost in transit, it will be expected that you bear the cost.
