Delivery to Belgium
Belgium is one of our most popular locations for international delivery, making up a significant portion of our 10,000’s of annual orders from non-UK addresses. Thanks to decades of experience, we’ve encountered multiple FAQs along the way. Not only has this helped us to better our service, but we have also been able to create the following FAQ guide to help you.
Through economy shipping and a network of trusted couriers, we work hard to provide our Belgian customers with the best possible delivery experience. In order to guarantee this, we aim to dispatch our orders within 3-5 days of confirmation and make sure that your consignment complies with international shipping regulations.
Duties and Taxes
Who Pays The Duties and Taxes On My Parcel?
If your parcel qualifies for any duties or taxes, then you will be expected to pay them upon arrival. These charges will either be applied at the checkout or through the shipping agent/customs. If any of these surcharges apply, a member of our team will reach out to let you know.
What is the VAT rate for Belgium?
Since the UK left the EU, import duties and taxes have been applied to goods imported into Belgium. Currently, the VAT rate for this is 21%. However, this is subject to change. Depending on the value of your products, import duties could also be charged. However, if your products fall below a certain value, you may only have to pay VAT or duties, or in some cases, neither.
What Happens if a Customer Refuses to Pay Customs or Duties on an Order?
If extra surcharges are not paid, your order will be cancelled and an additional administration surcharge will be applied. You also won’t be refunded your initial shipping amount. If you have any queries about customs duties or VAT before ordering, please contact us. We will be able to discuss the fees that may apply so that you can avoid any unforeseen costs.
Lead Times
How Long Will It Take For My Parcel to be Dispatched?
You can expect your product(s) to be dispatched within 3-5 working days from when you receive confirmation.
What if this Affected Item Is Not in Stock?
If you have a ‘special order’ where we have had to order from another supplier, you could experience more delays than usual. However, in most cases, this doesn’t make a difference to the 3-5 day dispatch target.
Why is Delivery Taking Longer Than Expected?
If you do experience any delays, please get in touch. Our team of experienced Land Rover experts are available to provide you with the most up to date tracking updates. Depending on the size of your parcel, deliveries to Belgium can take anywhere between one and four weeks.
Tracking and Parcel Safety
Are Customers Given a Tracking Code Upon Ordering?
Yes. Keeping our customers informed is important to us as we want to remove the wariness associated with international shipping. To do this, you will receive a text or email with your tracking number soon after checking out. This can then be used to find accurate updates on the location of your consignment throughout its journey. This tracking information will also be included in an invoice that is sent to you once your order is dispatched.
How are Products Packaged?
With many of our products being fragile, we take the utmost care in the way that we package them. We also use appropriate materials to ensure that your items are well supported for their journey. This includes heavy duty cardboard packaging with cardboard void fill and cushioning. For anything that’s fragile or awkwardly shaped, we can also produce bespoke wooden crate packaging.
Bulk and Oversized Orders
What Happens if Orders are Overweight/Oversized?
If your order is flagged up as being oversized or overweight in the checkout, a delivery surcharge may be applied. If this is the case, then you will be notified and a member of our team will get in touch to raise your attention to it. During this conversation, you will be able to discuss any concerns and ask any questions.
Returns
What is the Returns Process For International Orders?
Our full returns policy can be found on our website, with full details of how you should return your parcel. For most returns, you will be able to receive a refund as long as your item arrives within 28 days of delivery, in its original packaging with a proof of purchase.
Who Pays For the Return Cost of an Item?
If there is no fault of John Craddock Ltd involved, then you will be expected to cover the cost of return postage. However, if we identify that the fault lies with John Craddock Ltd, we will refund the cost of your postage as well as your product(s). If you are returning a parcel, please make sure that it’s marked as ‘returned goods’. You should also include any relevant paperwork and tracking numbers to ensure that you avoid any tax or duty charges.
Are Any Items Non-Returnable from International Locations?
Yes. Once you ship any of our engines and gearboxes overseas, they become non-returnable and lose their warranty. ‘Special orders’ can also become non-returnable if it is no longer possible for us to return them to the supplier.
Should Customers Insure Items Upon Returning Them?
If you decide to return a parcel, it is at your own risk. Therefore, we strongly suggest that you insure your consignment. Otherwise, if anything went wrong such as accidental damage or being lost in transit, you will be expected to cover any costs.
